FLOREAL LIVING CARPET

This is an event documented for the first time on 15 June 1602 which takes place every year in the Umbrian town on the occasion of the Corpus Domini festivity (ninth Sunday after Easter). The 'infioratori' work all year round to create carpets and floral paintings that wind through the streets of the historic center between Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning of that holiday, intended to honor the passage of the Body of Christ, carried in procession by the bishop. The result is a route of about 1.5 km characterized by the alternation of extraordinarily expressive and refined floral paintings.
